Clean Office files
A Word file you send still carries who wrote it, every comment, and the text you deleted. This takes it out — and leaves the document you meant to send.
- Accepts every tracked change, so deleted wording leaves the file instead of hiding in it. Inserted text stays exactly where it is.
- Removes comments and replies with the names and e-mail addresses signed on them, speaker notes, and text formatted as hidden.
- Takes out the author, last editor, company, manager, editing time, custom properties and the IDs that tie one draft to the next. The title stays.
- Finds what most tools never open: the template’s path on your computer, the office printer’s name, camera data in pasted photos, and spreadsheets embedded inside a document — cleaned too.
- Hidden sheets, rows and slides are pointed out, not deleted: removing them can break formulas. You decide.
Everything on this page runs on your device. Nothing you drop here is uploaded.
Questions
- Will the document look the same?
- Yes. Only what’s around the content is removed; the text, tables, charts and layout are untouched, and the file opens in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Google Docs and LibreOffice.
- What about old .doc and .xls files?
- Those are a different, older format. Open them and save as .docx or .xlsx first.
- Is my document uploaded?
- No. It’s unzipped and rewritten in this page.
