Tidy a screenshot
A screenshot shows more than the thing you meant to show: the time, your carrier, your battery, sometimes your location arrow — and the message that arrived just as you took it.
- Knows the status bar and home indicator of every iPhone and iPad by the screenshot’s size, and makes a close guess for Android. Sliders for the rest.
- Reads the top of the screen on this device for a notification banner — who wrote, what they said — and covers it with a solid block.
- Can save the copy under a neutral name: “Screenshot 2026-08-29 at 18.42.07” says when you took it.
- Redrawn, so the screenshot’s own metadata goes too. PNG stays PNG, sharp text and all.
Everything on this page runs on your device. Nothing you drop here is uploaded.
Questions
- Why remove the status bar?
- It dates the picture to the minute, names your carrier (and so, often, your country), and can show a location arrow, a VPN or a call in progress. Nobody needs it to read your screenshot.
- What about names and numbers inside the app?
- Use Blur & redact afterwards: it finds emails, phone numbers, addresses and plates in the picture.
